A Somnium (Latin for dream) is a mutant, also called a Betterman, that uses D-type amino acids and communicates primarily through the Limpid Channel, among other things. They are capable of transforming into different monstrous forms by consuming a variety of Animus Fruits with their fangs and then fusing together as well. They spend most of their time in Sepulchrums, gaps of space-time unpercievable by humans.
